PLAN OF ACTION
Our Brother's Keeper Inc., is a nonprofit 501 (C)(3) organization founded by the Rev. Jean G. Georges, of Latter Rain Gospel Tabernacle in East Orange New Jersey, with the sole purpose of providing healthcare and academic development to under privileged children in Haiti. Why OBK?: It is morally correct to answer the call of nature that teaches no one suffers alone, when one suffers, we all suffer. It becomes a mandate to support and care for our brothers and sisters in need, because we are our brother's keeper.
Our mission is to improve quality of lives of under privileged Haitian children whom are living day after day under miserable and inhumane conditions, by providing basic necessities such as potable water. These children are in need of Education, Health care, Food, and Clean drinking water. The Haitian population is approximately 7,000,000 people, about 1/3 are children, and only a minority of them attend some type of schooling. The ones that do attend are mostly in the major cities.
The children have to walk several miles to get to a local school. Medical care is one of the major crises in Haiti. Sick children have to travel hundreds of miles under unimaginable difficult conditions to get to a health facility, and for the most part, these facilities are poorly equipped. We were able to provide health care to more than children this year, and next year we hope to reach even more. As a matter of fact, we have saved many lives while providing basic healthcare services onsite, this is one of the reasons why a mobile medical lab and clinic is crucial. Water is essential to life.. Yet, 70% of the Haitian population don’t have access to potable water. So, this is primary cause of so many water-borne infectious diseases. Our goal is to reduce the number of water-borne diseases next year.

Micro-Lending: we allocate small amount of funds for loans to qualified and responsible parents to enable economic independence.

We believe in the power of collective investment. Our investment program allows local men and women to invest together so they can get a better return on investment. Your contribution will help them reach bigger milestones at a faster rate. It is today’s youth that will lead the country, even the world of tomorrow.
It is each generation’s responsibility to develop, train, and invest in the leaders of tomorrow, creating a promising and brighter future. Our project allows today’s youth to grow Strong, Educated, and Healthy, set an example of social responsibility, and positive change in their communities.
